Procurement Manager (purchasing, supply chain and material control)

We are looking to appoint an experienced Procurement Manager for our manufacturing and engineering business in the Midlands. This is a great opportunity for someone to have a real positive impact on the business through closely managing material spend, proactively developing established global supply chains and improving materials control from supplier to shop floor.

Within this varied and challenging role, you will :

* Manage a £4M materials spend, continuously exploring opportunities for secondary sourcing and cost reduction

* Be responsible for purchasing negotiations and cost down initiatives across a diverse range of parts,

* Manage inventory levels and monitor part shortages, establishing root cause and putting corrective actions in place

* Supplier performance management

* Utilising ERP system to schedule and plan deliveries based on usage and production forecasts...
