Lenovo's ThinkPad Yoga line has long been known for pairing a flexible, bend-back design with ThinkPad-level durability and usability. The 12.5-inch ThinkPad Yoga 260 continues this tradition, packing a best-in-class keyboard, an accurate touchpad and a powerful stylus into a svelte, 2.9-pound chassis. This $1,319 laptop ($989.10 to start) provides a really strong productivity experience, though its undersaturated display and slightly below-average battery life leave room for improvement.

The ThinkPad Yoga 260's 13 -inch, 1920 x 1080 display delivers sharp images and strong viewing angles, but its color output is lifeless.

he laptop has Dolby Audio software on board, which lets you switch between sound profiles for Movie, Music, Gaming and Voice uses, or manually adjust a graphic equalizer. I found that Dynamic mode, where the software decides which profile you need, provided the loudest and most accurate sound.

Ports and Webcam

The ThinkPad Yoga 260 has a solid selection of ports, though I wish it had one more USB port and a full-size SD card reader. The left side houses a single USB port, a Mini DisplayPort.

Performance

With its 2.3-GHz Core i3-6200U CPU, and 128GB SSD, our review configuration of the Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 260 offered excellent performance for productivity tasks.

It took the ThinkPad Yoga 260's 256GB SSD 39 seconds to complete the Laptop Mag File Transfer Test, which involves copying 4.97GB of mixed media files. That's a modest rate of 130.5 MBps, which is a bit short of the category average (162.3) and well below laptops with faster PCIe connections, such as the Vaio Z Flip and the Surface Pro 4.
