Hi my name is Debra Warren and I'm the secretary of Friends of Russells Hall Park.

We, as a group, are hoping to hold our second Community Day on our beautiful park. Unfortunately, due to cuts, the funding we received last year from the council is no longer available. This isn't putting us off as we feel that our event is vital to the whole community as a place to meet up with old friends and even make new ones.
Once upon a time we had four public houses and a youth club on our Estate. Now there is nothing and nowhere for people to meet to build a community. There is however, more houses, more people and no amenities. The simple act of being with other people is so important to combat loneliness, isolation and to improve everyone's mental health. After all, we all feel better after a catch up and a good laugh with friends.
This is where the go fund me page will help us raise enough money to hold our event. We are looking to have Black Country Radio there, a face painter, sports activities, food vendors and lots of stall holders selling their wonderful products. All the money raised will go to Friends of Russells Hall Park, then directly to helping the community
